Battle of Hatfield Investigation Society

Well this is it !

As you may know BOHIS have been awarded £15,600 by the HLF.

The 1st Community Day will take place next Saturday (26th September) between 10am and 4pm and will help explain all future events.

These events comprise the Workshops, final “Tie up” Community Days (detailed below) plus the fieldwork which will take place between the 2nd and 11th November.

The format of the 1st Community Day will be a mixture of timetabled and adhoc “on demand” events :

The Timetabled Events are :

10 – 11am - “Kick Off” - Meet The Team Over Coffee & Biscuits - an Informal 1 on 1 Question & Answer session.

To raise funds we will ask for a £1 donation for your refreshments.

11:30am – 12:30pm – “The Battle of Hatfield” – A little bit of history - Paul Jameson will re-present his talk originally given at Sutton Hoo on 19th September & take questions at the end

2 - 3pm - “What’s Going to Happen ?” – a presentation explaining the timetable of events to include audience participation

The Community Day has no entrance fee and all are welcome.

Come for the whole day or just drop in and attend what interests you !
