New Year Update

Hello,

Since December the 10th things have progressed somewhat, but not as much as we would have hoped.

For St. Mary's Church, Cuckney, Ground Penetrating Radar & Excavation Permission - we have completed the Diocesan Advice Application and it is being considered at the Parochial Church Council meeting today (20th Jan.).

We are still awaiting a final communication from the Welbeck Estates Company Ltd. regarding permissions.

Hello Everyone,

 

With the focus on a start date of March 2014, we are continuing to work on the 3 major fronts, namely, Permissions, Funding and Historical Research.

Permissions

Having received a holding letter very recently, we are awaiting the final outcome of permission to carry out activities in the Cuckney area on land not forming part of St. Mary's Church, Norton Cuckney.

Hello All,

Joseph and Andy were working very hard yesterday for about 4 hours, filling in forms relating to funding and permissions. Last week we also sent 7 sponsorship letters to a mix of local authorities and commercial enterprises. Centrica promptly sent a very nice letter, which unfortunately was a rejection.  I will be sending a few more targeted sponsorship letters this week. Hi Everyone,

We had 20 member registrations from Friday 18th October meeting, raising £195, plus I've got £20 to add to that. In addition, about another 3 people have promised to join. Hence the bank account is about to receive its first monies !
